Turn my heart oh God

I am reminded this evening that I can't control the future... in fact I can't really control the present, either.  And the past- we'll that is history, like it or not.  All I can do is offer myself to God. This song is on my mind tonight:

Turn My Heart

Turn my heart oh Lord,

Like rivers of water.

Turn my heart oh Lord,

By your hand.

Till my whole life flows

In the river of your spirit,

And my name brings honor

To the lamb.

Lord, I surrender to your work in me,

I rest my life within your loving hands.

Boredom?

Doug is setting up dominoes at my parents house... we are now officially bored.  Good thing we leave for TX in the morning... then OK for Daniel's wedding.  (Then back to TN, then GA.)

Race for the Cure

Yesterday was my first 5K since December.
There were 15,000 people (in pink!) at Atlantic Station!
Anna and I both ran "in celebration" of women we admire.

Other news... just one more week of school, then a week of exams/ graduation.  So, in less than 2 weeks, I'll be completely done!  yipee!

Update...

We have some big news... when we got back from Haiti we had 2 e-mails congratulating us for being accepted into the Assistantship Program. We went to NC that next weekend for Bryan's wedding and while we were there we were very encouraged and started really thinking about accepting our posts. So Monday, April 20th, we notified GACS that we would not be coming back next year. We will be moving to France for the '09-'10 school year. We were accepted in the academy of Lyon, so we really hope that we are placed in the city. I have not yet told my students... I was waiting until the new French teacher was determined. But word is getting around quickly, so I probably need to tell them soon! Please keep us in your prayers!
